The PeerCast sub-genre of SMB Hacks may have been short-lived and niche, but showcases a fantastic display of some of the most fun "kaizo" glitchfests there is; the Kunio Mario series is widely considered to be the most well-known within this category.

From the obstacles to the obscurity of the injokes involved in the text strings, they were all based on based on the former live streamer under the name 'Kusoge no naka no hito'. It is sure to satisfy even the most casual of players who may know and use some of the medium-level techniques there is; and traits such as the "Wakashimachuu" (slang for walljumping), hidden block spam in the most cunning of places, "100-second stages" and a preparation for "heinous Bowser battles". And yet, it has been said that viewers have since remembered the memories involved with the series due to the charismatic and influential nature of the hack.

It has since then garnered a reputation amongst a few 2ch spheres in terms of discussion, and no doubt has inspired other infamous Mario hacks outside of SMB (e.g. SMW series "vip Mario").
